Before Adam Hoens heads to his day job at the Vancouver airport, he wakes up early to sketch and paint his favourite hip hop artists. He goes by @ndlocal on Instagram and his colourful portraits have amassed over 10,000 followers. His paintings of Action Bronson and Childish Gambino have gotten the attention of the artists themselves and with this traction, Hoens has decided to move his art from Instagram to a real-life gallery space. VICE's Sarah Berman stopped by the artists' home to talk about this transition.
